Sexy Summer Make-Up

Get sexy summer makeup ideas and looks to enhance your summer tanned skin with makeup looks that are great for breezy summer days and party!
Golden Goddess
Shades of champagne, bronze, honey and straw beautifully illuminate eyelids – especially on sun-kissed skin – the look is perfect for easy, breezy summer days. Keep skin radiant and clean with foundation where needed and a light balm on lips and opt for high SPF products.
Don’t get carried away with the bronze theme though, overly tanned skin will look passe, so instead concentrate on achieving a flawless, honeyed hue.
A tiny dab of cream bonzer dotted onto the apples of the cheeks will add a light-catching glow that won’t detract from the main attraction: your eyes makeup!

Colorful Eyelids
Let your inner child get creative with color this season – the rules are there ain’t no rules this summer! Think playful pigments on lips and cheekbones dusted with candyfloss pink. Try eyes doused in glitter, neon shades out of a Crayola box.

Smokey Eyes
Magical violet tones never go out of style and this summer it is paired with shiny peach and coral tones. Smoke up your eyes for a night-out to complement your summer glow: use a shimmery violet around the eyes blending it with soft peach and coral eyeshadow for a more estival look.
Add more depth with a black khol tracing a thin line along the upper and lower lashes, insisting at the outer corners.

Finish the look with two coats of mascara, a light pink blush blended to the temples and a touch of lip gloss.

Sweltering heat and humidity can wreak havoc with your summer makeup. Foundation may seem to melt or liquefy, and no powder stands up to those little beads of sweat that collect around your hairline. A modification of your regimen may be in order, and a few tricks will get you through a midday makeup meltdown.

Instructions

Things You'll Need

  • Blush
  • Blush Brush
  • Cotton Swabs
  • Eye Shadow
  • Face Powder
  • Facial Tissues
  • Lip Balm
  • Lip Liners
  • Lipstick
  • Mascara
  • Oil-free Foundations
    • 1
Skip the foundation, if possible, and opt for a tinted moisturizer. If foundation is necessary, limit application to the center of the face, steering clear of the hairline.
    • 2
Consider switching to an oil-free formula during the summer months or dilute your everyday foundation with an oil-free moisturizer. This lighter coverage will fare better when temperatures heat up.
    • 3
Dust any coverage with a little loose powder. Use blush sparingly, letting your sun-kissed cheeks grab the attention.
    • 4
Blot any perspiration or oil buildup with non-powdered blotting papers. Or substitute a clean tissue, pressing gently into moist areas.
    • 5
Remove under-eye foundation or powder buildup with a clean cotton swab. Resist the temptation to reapply unless you feel it absolutely necessary.
    • 6
Reapply loose powder only. Pressed powder has the tendency to cake and clump when hit with moisture.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep lips protected and moisturized. Use a lip balm that has an SPF and consider switching to a moisture-rich lipstick.
  • Battle summer blemishes with a superior nighttime treatment so there's less reason to cover up come morning.
  • Oil-free formulas may make dry skin drier.

Keeping the eyes fresh in summer is no doubt an important & attention grabbing task. Being one of the prominent features of the face, your eyes should look nice and fresh.
In summer this task becomes bit difficult because of the heat and perspiration etc. In case of make-up particularly, sweating kills your make-up efforts after some time.
In this regard, first thing is to protect your eyes from the ultra violet sun rays. In hot and humid day time your eyes need more care. So your eye make-up must be refreshing & soothing but with an eye-catchy look.
In summers mostly light colors shades are preferable; but of course they must be according to your eye shape. Also your dress color & the occasion or place you are going for is also essential to consider. Shades in pink, skin, peach, etc usually go best in summers. They gives you bit natural and simple look with featuring your eyes in an attractive way. Fair colored ladies should for pink shades and those who got the whitish or bit dark complexion should go for brown shades; in order to give the natural look.
For eye lashes choose the water proof mascaras and go for the pencil eye-liner. In day time for office or causal make-up, apply gray liner and for the night functions prefer black eye liner.
You should always have a non-powered blotting paper or absorbing tissue to remove the perspiration or extra oil; coming from the eye make-up. These things can seriously disturb your make-up.
Another important thing is to have a neatly made eye brow shape. Too thin eye brows are not ‘inn’ this season. Medium sized eye brows would flourish your eye make as well.
Prefer to remove your eye make-up softly & gently with an eye make remover and with a cotton mop.

Get Cool Look this Summer

With summer just around the corner you've probably been through your wardrobe and dusted down your summer clothes but what about your make-up bag? Now is the prefect time to give it a summer makeover.
1. Essential protection
Protect your skin from damage this summer by using a moisturiser with an SPF factor of 15 or higher. Use it daily and you'll help to combat those early signs of aging such as sun spots and fine lines. Remember that you'll be exposed to harmful UVA and UVB rays even on a cloudy day. Apply your SPF moisturiser to a clean face and allow 10 minutes for it to absorb before applying your foundation.
2. Lighten up
When the warm weather hits you might find that foundation and powder feels too heavy on your skin. For a fresher, lighter look switch to a tinted moisturiser, apply with a damp sponge and you'll be sure to get an even look. A little concealer dabbed under the eye will give added radiance.
3. Fake it
a woman applying bronzerOn a lovely summer's day there is nothing better than the appearance of a healthy glow to make you feel better, and one of the easiest ways of achieving this is with bronzing powder. If you're worried that you'll choose the wrong shade of bronzer and end up looking orange instead of sun-kissed, Colour Me Beautiful has a range of shades that have been specifically created to suit your skin tone.
4. The eyes have it
a woman applying eye make-upEye shadows in lighter, neutral shades are perfect for the summer. If it's really hot and you don't want to go to the effort of applying a full make-up, a touch of mascara and a little eye liner will 'open' up the eye and bring your face to life. For a lighter, more summery appearance, swap your black mascara for one that is either brown-black or brown. To complete your look remember to have your eyebrows professionally shaped.
5. Essential waterproofing
There is nothing worse than running mascara, so if you're planning a beach holiday or going to a wedding, consider your choice of mascara with care. Waterproof mascara is great, but you'll probably need an oil-based eye make-up remover to take it off properly so that you don't get an unsightly build-up. If you don't want the hassle, it's worth getting your eyelashes professionally tinted. If you're particularly fair and have very light eyebrows it's worth getting them dyed too.

6. Luscious lips
a woman applying lip glossBeing out in the fresh air can take its toll on your skin and that includes your lips. If you're sunbathing, it's important to remember to use some lip balm to keep them soft and supple. When you've got a slight tan, a touch of lipstick or lip gloss is often all you need to face the world.
7. Holiday glam
Make the most of your newly-acquired tan by using Colour Me Beautiful's fabulous new Glow highlighter on your cheekbones and brow. With its subtle pearlescent lustre it looks amazing on tanned skin and you can even use it in the daytime to help keep your holiday glow when you return to work. For a touch of instant evening glamour apply the Glow highlighter to your shoulders and decolletage.
8. Cheeky cheeks
If you don't like using fake tans and bronzing powders, the easiest way to achieve a healthy natural glow is with blush. Whether your blush is an ultra-fine powder or a light cream, the rules are the same.
Apply it along your cheekbones or the apples of your cheeks, depending on your face shape. Remember to build up the colour gradually until you get the soft natural glow that you're looking for.
9. Tip-top toes
You'll want your feet to look their best if you're wearing sandals or flip-flops this summer. Build time into your weekly beauty routine to pamper them. Remember to use a pumice or foot file to keep them free from dry skin and unsightly cracked heels and moisturise regularly to ensure that skin appears smooth and supple.
10. And finally...
a woman wearing summer make-upIf you are going to be spending large amounts of time in the sun, whether in the garden or on the beach, make sure you invest in a bottle of sun tan lotion, a floppy sun hat and a pair of sun glasses to help protect your skin from potential sun damage.

Grow stylish sexy long hair

The allure of long hair is plenty but what's even more exciting is that it can be styled in endless ways from a sophisticated chignon to a grungy pony tail.

Hair brush matters : Choosing a great brush helps massage your scalp promoting its growth. Closely packed bristles are not gentle on your hair. They can lead to tangling and weaken your hair. A brush with wide set bristles on long hair moves through the length easily reducing the chances of tangling and breakage.

Tame the frizz : Frizzy hair is unglamourous no matter what the length. Get sleek and shiny locks with smoothing serums and defrizzing products.

Wash Regularly : A regular wash with a gentle nourishing shampoo is a must have for clean scalp, free of flakes. We love Kiehls Amino Acid Shampoo with Pure Coconut Oil. Flake free scalp promotes generation of natural oils that nourish your hair from the root. However, over washing rids your scalp of these oils resulting in dry hair.
Use A Detangler : Long hair often comes with the burden of tangles. Choose a detangling serum over brushing the tangles off your hair. The detangler coats your hair with hair smoothing ingredients like silicone that help silken the surface of your hair cuticle and lossen the dry tangled ends. Trying to detangle without a product leads to split ends and breakage - a major impediment to growing long hair.
Condition Well :  Longer hair needs more moisture through the middle and ends than at the roots.. Feed moisture into your hair with a heavy conditioner.Do not compromise on conditioning, treat thicker hair with moisturizing conditioner and finer hair with a protein conditioner.

Nourishing ritual : Pamper your hair with repairing treatments to undo any damage caused by heat and styling products. Chemically treated hair requires additional care. Look for natural nourishing ingredients like avocado and olive oil to keep your hair in good health
