Gemma Ann Merna (born 11 October 1984 in Cleethorpes, England) is an English actress. She is known for playing Carmel Valentine in Hollyoaks.
In a 2009 interview with Closer magazine she said that having a breast enlargement at the age of twenty-one was one of the best things she ever did and said it gave her so much confidence.
For her role in the British Channel 4 series Hollyoaks, which was Gemma Merna's first major TV role, she won Best Comedy Performance in the 2007 The British Soap Awards.
In the same year's National Television Awards, she was nominated for Best Female Soap Actress.
